Martha Stewart is teaming up with The Vitamin Shoppe for the national retail launch of her CBD line.
Stewart’s line of CBD products will be manufactured by Canada based brand Canopy.
“I joined Canopy’s advisory board so they could get the modern housewives’ view of CBD,” said Stewart, adding that she became interested in Canopy after having a conversation with Snoop Dog.
Starting this week, Martha Stewart’s full line of CBD-based gummies, oil tinctures and pills will be sold in 580 of the 720 The Vitamin Shoppe store locations and Super Supplement stores which are operated by The Vitamin Shoppe in the Pacific Northwest.
In terms of Stewart’s favorite products within the line, she gushes over the gummies and their taste. “We developed them to taste like pate de fruit,” said Stewart. Some of the gummies flavors include black raspberry, kumquat and pink grapefruit.
Through the partnership with The Vitamin Shoppe, there is more-or-less a chance for a higher acceptance and credibility behind CBD claims. The partnership also allows The Vitamin Shoppe to become a recognized destination for CBD-based products.
Consumers looking to purchase products from the Martha Stewart CBD line can choose from a 15-flavor gummy sampler box, a variety of gummies flavors, as well as CBD oil drops and CBD soft gels.
Stewart is also planning to start rolling out CBD biscuits for dogs and cats.
“I have CBD products coming for dogs and cats and other animals, soon, with dog biscuits maybe in a month or so,” said Stewart. “That’s going to be a very big deal, too. They’ll help aggressive dogs relax or pets who get frightened by thunder or lightning. Imagine how stressed some pets get being stuck in their apartments all day.…I have four dogs, two very special French bulldogs and two beautiful Chow Chows. They love them.”
