Kate Spade has appointed Jenny Campbell as the brand’s new chief marketing officer. The role was previously held by Mary Renner Beech, who held the post from 2013 until last year. Campbell joins the brand at a time when it is seeking to execute a turnaround.

“With her digital expertise, culture- and community-driven mindset, and in-depth understanding of our customer base, Jenny will be a force in driving the brand and organization forward on our strategic roadmap,” the company said in a statement.

In Campbell’s new role, she will focus on the brand’s direct-to-consumer strategy, engagement and building a stronger digital community through social innovations.

Before joining Kate Spade, Campbell most recently worked as CMO at dating app Tinder. Campbell also has experience working on both the agency side and with companies such as Nike+, Wieden+Kennedy and 72andSunny.

“Kate Spade New York is a brand that is synonymous with joy, and one that I have long admired for its spirited and welcoming approach to style, celebration of confident women and ability to creatively innovate season after season,” Campbell said in a statement.

The announcement comes a few months after Kate Spade brought on Michele Parsons as its senior vice president and chief merchandising officer.
