LMVH has acquired French perfume and cosmetics brand Officine Universelle Buly for an undisclosed amount, adding it to its roster of 75 other Maisons.
Buly was relaunched in 2014 by Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac. Since then, L’Officine Universelle Buly has become an iconic brand carving its unique identity between heritage and modernity, tradition and innovation.
“Since 2014, we have been keen to revive an iconic Parisian Maison, with a powerful and unusual universe, drawing its inspiration from forgotten or little-known beauty secrets. We know that Buly will remain true to its unique identity within LVMH, the birthplace of authentic and powerful Maisons”, said Taillac, who also serves as the director of product strategy, image and communication for the brand.
The move comes after nearly four years of support and assistance from LVMH Luxury Ventures, a minority investment fund. LVMH plans to continue to develop and grow the brand in the coming years.
“Buly perfectly matches the philosophy that we find in the Maisons of the LVMH Group, combining an unparalleled heritage, craftsmanship and a unique experience in exceptional boutiques. Its refined products enjoy a significant success around the world and we will do everything we can to ensure that this great family entrepreneurial adventure, led by Victoire de Taillac and Ramdane Touhami, continues to grow within the LVMH family,” said LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault.
Buly today operates over 25 stores around worldwide.
