H&M has teamed up with Golden Globe winner, John Boyega, for the launch of a sustainable menswear collection that is being made with recycled and organic materials such as “Vegea,” a vegan leather alternative that is partly made from waste produced by the winemaking industry.

The Edition by John Boyega collection has been designed to promote sustainability and celebrate the change makers that are trying to do good in the world. In recent years, Boyega has established himself as a vocal social activist. In June 2020, for instance, he delivered heartfelt speech at a Black Lives Matter protest in London.

“John Boyega is a brave leader of a generation that’s speaking up for change, believing there’s a better way to treat each other and the planet. H&M is proud to team up with John for Edition by John Boyega, a contemporary, more sustainable collection for men,” said Ross Lydon, Head of Menswear Design at H&M.

The collection features effortless workwear pieces with floral prints and tie-dye patterns that have been made using organic or recycled cotton from textile-production waste or post-consumer waste, recycled nylons and polyesters and viscose fibers derived  from sustainable sources.

Edition by John Boyega is available on hm.com and in selected retail stores.
