Vogue Scandinavia has launched a live video shopping initiative to better engage its reader base and drive revenue through merchandise sales as well as brand collaborations.
The effort comes as livestream shopping has become increasingly popular among consumers around the world and is set to account for $247 billion in sales by the year 2027.
The service is being powered by Bambuser, a livestream shopping technology platform seeking to expand its services beyond the retail landscape.
“We are honored to work closely with this trailblazing new member of the storied Vogue magazine family as they leverage Live Video Shopping to bring the publication to life in a unique way,” said Maryam Ghahremani, CEO of Bambuser. “This implementation also demonstrates how interactive livestream commerce brings value to a host of different business types, and we’re confident that Vogue Scandinavia’s implementation will serve as an important benchmark moving forward.”
Vogue Scandinavia will host its first live video shopping event today, August 31, 2021, at 1 pm EDT. The event will showcase the magazine’s latest issue while offering audiences the opportunity to purchase a unique collection box and a limited edition scent. In future livestreams, Vogue Scandinavia will feature collaborations with brands along with other topics reflective of each issue.
