Kanye West and his billion-dollar shoe brand, Yeezy, are suing Walmart for selling a pair of imitation shoes that were modeled after Yeezy’s Foam Runner line.

West and Yeezy are seeking monetary damages and have asked Walmart to stop the sale of the knockoff shoes.

The plaintiff describes the shoe being sold on Walmart’s website as “an unauthorized exact copy of the YEEZY FOAM RUNNER in every respect, including the clog-silhouette, foam slip-on body, and characteristic varying-sized cutouts on the sides and top of the shoe.”

Furthermore, West and Yeezy allege that the sale of fake Yeezy shoes dilutes the brand’s reputation and contributes to the loss of market share. The plaintiff cited several examples of Walmart customers calling the knockoff shoes as “budget Yeezy Foam Runners,” conflating them with the Yeezy brand.

“My son has been wanting the Yeezy slides but these look similar and are much more affordable,” one of the comments said. West and Yeezy allege that such comments should have alerted Walmart to the presence of an imitation good being sold on its website.

This is not the first time Yeezy has locked horns with Walmart. In April this year, Walmart tried to block Yeezy from using its sun-styled logo, which the company thought was too similar to its own logo.
