The new collection comes in the brand’s iconic 30ml aluminum paint tubes but with a splash of color. The limited-edition packaging features a white base and a dripping paint effect in green, orange, and yellow.
Here’s the scoop on the brand’s three new fragrances:
Bal D’Afrique is a rich, complex romantic fragrance that is steeped in luxury. It features marigold, bergamot, and sparkling notes of floral violet and vibrant cyclamen.
Mojave Ghost is a woody fragrance inspired by the soulful beauty of the Mojave Desert and features notes of magnolia, Jamaican naseberry and sandalwood.
Rose of No Man’s Land is clean and contemporary and offers a base of papyrus and white amber as well as notes of pink pepper.
The limited-edition collection launch follows the brand’s acquisition by Spanish beauty and fashion giant Puig for a billion dollars.
The deal aims to better position Puig with millennial consumers, who often gravitate toward slick brands that offer natural and gender-neutral options, such as Aesop, Diptyque, and Le Labo.
Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Morgan, and it was acquired by UK investment firm Manzanita Capital seven years later. Today, the brand offers a range of popular candles and fragrances, including Gypsy Water and Bibliotheque. Last year, its sales totaled $127.5 million, marking a 63% year-on-year increment and nearly double the size of the company’s business in 2019.
The tubes retail for $44 each and are available now on Byredo’s website.
