CBD Infused Drink TRIP Raises $12 Million From Prominent Retail Players Including Former Depop CEO
CBD brand TRIP has raised $12 million in capital from prominent investors, including the former CEO of Depop, Maria Raga, and the founder of Apeiron Investment Group, Christian Angermeyer.

With its latest round, TRIP is looking to expand its business in the U.S as well as across the globe.

TRIP was originally founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Daniel Khoury and Olivia Ferdi after meeting at Cambridge University.

The entry into the cannabis category followed an accident that required Khoury to get knee surgery just before their wedding. To recover, Daniel looked to CBD and was amazed by the benefits. After that, the couple left their careers in law and finance to launch TRIP to help expand access to CBD-based products.

Since then, TRIP has become a viral hit, with 94% of its customers recommending the brand to friends and family. The brand has also established exclusive partnerships with Soho House & Co. and Los Angeles-based retailer Erewhon.

“TRIP is a Soho House favorite,” said Soho House & Co. Drinking Director Tom Kerr. “After assessing CBD brands globally, we knew TRIP was the perfect partner brand for Soho House. Since launch, they’ve been a huge hit in our houses around the world.”

Today, TRIP offers four drinks, including elderflower mint, peach ginger, lemon basil, and CBD-infused cold brew, as well as two CBD oils – wild mint and orange blossom blended with chamomile.
