BARK is expanding its food lineup with a new assortment of breed-specific food formulas that cater to more dog breeds and puppies.
The new offering includes a full suite of products for dachshunds, french bulldogs, boxers, Australian shepherds, German shepherds, golden retrievers, and doodles, as well as mixes of those breeds. Additionally, BARK is launching customized food options for puppies.
The expansion follows its initial rollout of premium kibble, supplements, broths, toppers and treats tailored for the needs of chihuahuas, labs and pit bulls back in August 2022.
“Since launching our breed-specific food in August, customer engagement and conversion has improved significantly, and today’s announcement is a testament to the sizable opportunity we see ahead. With BARK Food now serving ten breeds and offering puppy-specific formulas, our addressable market has grown considerably, and we look forward to including additional breeds soon,” said Matt Meeker, co-founder and chief executive officer of BARK.
The company enlisted its dog food experts and nutritionists to create meal formulas considering specific breeds’ dietary needs and individuality to help dogs from various breeds be their best, happiest and healthiest selves.
To celebrate the launch, BARK has announced its Next Top Dog Model contest, which will name ten dogs as the face of BARK Food. Dog parents can choose to enter the contest by sharing a photo of their dog and why they should be BARK’s Next Top Dog Model via the company’s submission portal at post.bark.co/models from now until November 17, 2022.
Winners will be featured on BARK’s social media channel and the brand’s marketing materials. In addition, winners will receive $500, a professional photoshoot, as well as toys and treats from its 10-year BARK-iversary collection. The first 1,000 entries will receive a $5 BarkShop gift card when BARK announces the winners.
