Boohoo Names Shaun McCabe as New CFO

Boohoo has hired Shaun McCabe to serve as its chief financial officer (CFO) starting later this year.

McCabe succeeds Neil Catto, who is expected to transition to an executive director role and take on strategic projects for the company while continuing to serve on its board.

“Neil has been key to the group’s success since it listed, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude, and that of the board, for his contribution to the business. Equally, it has been a great pleasure to work with Shaun over the last two years, and we are delighted to have him on board in his new capacity later this year,” said Mahmud Kamani, group executive chairman of Boohoo.

Prior to his appointment, McCabe joined the group’s board as a non-executive director in 2020. Since then, he has also been working as the chair of the audit and risk committees.

Following his new appointment, Brian Small will replace McCabe as audit committee chair. Meanwhile, Tim Morris will be responsible for chairing the risk committee.

McCabe joins Boohoo from Trainline plc, where he helped grow the company’s operational and digital footprint as the CFO.

McCabe also holds extensive digital and retail experience, having previously served as the international director at Asos plc and as CFO for Amazon Europe.
