Sneaker brand Keds has teamed up with Altuzarra to launch a new collection of sneaker styles.

An exclusive first look of the limited-edition footwear collection was shown live during Altuzarra’s show at New York Fashion Week on September 10, 2022. The collection features never-seen-before sneaker styles that merge the aesthetics of the two distinct brands and reimagines classic Keds’ silhouettes in luxe fabrications and unique styles.

“I am so thrilled to be collaborating with Keds this season. Their iconic brand language and heritage were a huge source of inspiration, and the resulting footwear collection adds an exciting and dynamic layer to the show,” said Joseph Altuzarra, the founder of the luxury women’s ready-to-wear and accessories brand.

One of the key sneakers in the collection is called the ‘Renaissance,’ and it takes inspiration from archival Keds runner silhouettes. The sneaker features satin underlays, ripped and distressed canvas uppers, and is finished with suede and leather overlays. The shoe is expected to retail for $180. In addition to the Renaissance, the collaboration will feature two similarly fabricated Champion styles priced at $140.

“Our partnership with Altuzarra marks Keds’ emergence into the luxury fashion space with our iconic silhouettes reimagined through the lens of the talented Joseph Altuzarra,” said Jen Lynch, vice president and general manager of Keds. “The collection delivers unique styles in luxe fabrications for our customers in styles they cherish.”

The footwear capsule will be available in the spring of 2023.
