Plant-based meat solution provider Beyond Meat is launching an alternative to seared steak tips packed with nutritional and environmental benefits.

Dubbed Beyond Steak, the new offering can be found at Kroger and Walmart stores nationwide, as well as at select Albertsons and Ahold divisions and other retailers across the country.

“Beyond Steak is a highly-anticipated expansion of our popular beef platform and we’re proud to introduce this innovative product to consumers nationwide,” said Dariush Ajami, chief innovation officer at Beyond Meat. “Beyond Steak delivers the taste and texture of sliced steak in a way that is better for both people and the planet.”

The launch aims to expand its portfolio of options that all offer consumers the ability to eat the foods they love without compromising on taste, nutrition, or sustainability.

The announcement also follows recent headlines the company’s Chief Operating Officer Doug Ramsey made in September 2022 when he was arrested for biting a man’s nose after a college football game in Arkansas.

Ramsey was charged with terroristic threatening and third-degree battery and booked in the Washington County jail on Saturday evening but was later released, according to the Washington County, Arkansas.

Before joining the vegan consumer-packed-goods (CPG) brand back in December 2021, Ramsey worked for Tyson Foods.
