Apple is bringing a new update to CarPlay that will soon allow users to pay for gas without having to get out and pay, the tech giant revealed at the latest WWDC.
The new capability is being developed in partnership with energy company HF Sinclair, which operates more than 1,600 gas stations across the U.S.
It will allow users to hand-select their pump and gas and, of course, pay for their gas via an app found in CarPlay, without having to step out of their car.
While the app has yet to launch, HF Sinclair noted that the new capability would roll out at gas stations across the country as soon as this fall with the iOS 16 software update.
More details around the new offering are expected to be revealed over the next few months.
