Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus has hired Williams Sonoma’s Ryan Ross as its new president, effective August 15, 2022.
In the newly minted role, Ross will help drive the company’s growth strategy by focusing on improving Neiman Marcus’ customer experience.
At Williams Sonoma, Ross served as the company’s president and was responsible for driving integrated channel strategies, helping the company evolve its brand image and customer growth. He has also previously worked as the executive vice president of marketing and digital at HSN and has served in executive roles at retailers such as Gap, Harrods, and Pottery Barn.
“Ryan is a values-driven leader with a proven track record of achieving rapid growth and optimizing customer-centric experiences,” said Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group. “This new role represents the next step in our Revolutionizing Luxury Experiences strategy, and we’re confident that an esteemed omnichannel retail leader like Ryan further positions Neiman Marcus for sustainable growth.”
The company also announced that David Goubert, who has been serving as the chief customer officer, is planning to leave his role to pursue his interest in working with socially impactful businesses.
“David has helped lead us through a significant transformation, establishing a strong roadmap and a dynamic team fueling future success,” said van Raemdonck. “His leadership inspired a culture of trust, ambition and respect across teams – all of which reinforced a successful brand strategy with luxury relationships at its core.”
