Direct-to-consumer (DTC) activewear brand Vuori announced the opening of its first flagship store on the East Coast in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.
The 5,000-square-foot store is Vuori’s largest location to date, and its launch comes just a month after the company opened its first physical store outside the U.S. in London. It will offer shoppers access to the brand’s full range of signature men’s and women’s performance apparel.
In addition, shoppers will have access to events such as local art shows and yoga classes, among other things — much like the brand’s other physical store locations.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Vuori to New York and such an incredible location,” said Joe Kudla, founder and CEO of Vuori. “SoHo has long been one of New York’s most desirable shopping hubs, as it’s the perfect mix of being a place where people live and work, but also where they come to shop, discover new brands and have fun.”
The opening of the SoHo location comes less than a month after the company completed a $100 million investment round led by Softbank Vision Fund 2 to fuel its international expansion goals.
The U.S.-based brand is seeking to build its presence across Western Europe and the Asia Pacific and open an innovation center in Taiwan. It also plans to open more than 100 new omnichannel-focused stores in the U.S. over the next five years — a shift from its 2020 decision to pause the expansion of physical stores.
