I’m always one to sell a bag. I buy a bag directly from a retailer or pre-loved, use it for a couple of months or even a year or two, and then ultimately sell. Why? While I didn’t go with the exact bag featured in her post, I was intrigued (in a good way) by the concept of the bag, mainly because of its versatility. The colorway of the bag Allie featured in her TikTok did provide more options than any other traditional bad but it still felt limiting despite having to option to flip the bag inside out, going from suede to leather or leather to suede.
That’s when I decided to see what other options were available in the Saint Laurent Kate Medium Reversible Leather Shoulder Bag. If I could somehow find an option not only went from leather to suede but also offered up two different color offerings while also having the removable chain, I would be completely sold.

As a crossbody, the bag is perfect for running errands and day trips. The magnetic closure allows for security but also creates easy access when needed. As a shoulder bag, it is ideal for a date night or even a day event.
But there’s more. The bag also works as an oversized clutch that can easily be used for anything clutch-worthy. The best part about the Saint Laurent Kate Medium Reversible Leather Shoulder Bag is that it can be dressed up or down. The bag is definitely a much-needed accessory, as it instantly adds texture and glam to any ensemble.
Overall Quality
The supple quality of the leather allows the bag to conform to your body, which I oddly love. In fact, it has made me realize that rigid bags are a definite no-no for me. I had my bags to have some kind of give. That said, the overall definition and the structure of the Saint Laurent Kate Medium Reversible Leather Shoulder Bag simply screams richness and class and it’s just something I can’t get enough of.
And when it comes to the wear and tear on the bag, especially when trying to reverse the bag inside out, so far, I haven’t noticed any kind of marking. But even if any wear does occur, I personally feel it adds character to the bag, especially on the leather side. However, the suede side will need to be cared for, just like any other suede bag.
As for the chain, it has just the right weight and feel to it. The chain is brass/gold and it looks spectacular against the black leather and Saint Laurent gold-plated logo.
Flip the bag over and the suede side is just as tempting and luxurious. It is buttery soft – the kind you want to make love with.
