Delta Air Lines and Starbucks are linking their loyalty-rewards programs to boost sales and bring in more repeat customers.

Once the accounts are paired up, Delta’s SkyMiles members can earn one mile for each dollar spent at Starbucks. Plus, customers can earn double “stars” through Starbucks Rewards when they make purchases at participating Starbucks stores on the day of their Delta flight.

The partnership marks Delta’s continued efforts to expand its customer reach. It is the latest among a series of other recent brand collaborations that allow Delta SkyMiles members to earn bonus miles, including those with Airbnb, Lyft, and Instacart.

To celebrate the partnership with Starbucks, SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards members can earn 500 miles if they link their accounts from now through the year’s end. Additionally, SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards members can earn another 150 stars once they make a qualifying purchase, including food, beverages, and merchandise.

According to Starbucks, members can use those 150 stars to redeem for coffee drinks, such as a cappuccino.

Furthermore, Delta is currently offering a roundtrip ticket departing November 4, 2022, from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Los Angeles with a return flight ten days later for 30,500 SkyMiles on Delta’s website this week.
