Peloton has partnered with the Hilton Group to put its bikes in 5,400 U.S. hotel locations by the end of the year.
The partnership between the two companies will see the addition of at least one Peloton bike at each of the location’s fitness centers, with Hilton loyalty members gaining access to a 90-day free trial to use the bikes.
The deal between the two companies includes 18 Hilton-branded hotels, including Double Tree, Embassy Suites, and Hampton Inn. Meanwhile, locations already offering Peloton bikes to their customers will have the option to add more bikes.
“My first experience with Peloton was during a hotel stay while on vacation, and I was immediately hooked,” said Betsy Webb, the global vice president of Peloton’s commercial branch. “We love brands that prioritize their customers’ wellness and could not be more excited to bring Peloton to Hilton guests nationwide wherever they are on their fitness journey.”
The deal with Hilton further expands Peloton’s commercial portfolio. Guests at other locations have already completed some 1.6 million rides this year, CNBC reported.
It comes at a time when CEO Barry McCarthy is pushing to turn the company’s business around and diversify its sales channels beyond direct-to-consumer. The company recently struck a partnership in August to begin selling its bikes on Amazon’s marketplace. And more recently, Peloton signed another deal with Dick’s Sporting Goods to sell its bikes at the retailer’s brick-and-mortar locations.
