Sephora has appointed PepsiCo executive Zena Srivatsa Arnold as its new chief marketing officer.

At PepsiCo, Arnold last served as the senior vice president of carbonated soft drinks, and before that, she held various management and marketing roles at companies such as Google, Kimberly-Clark, Kellogg Company, and Procter & Gamble.

“With a knack for disruption, Zena brings extensive experience in not only building and growing brands but driving initiatives that reach clients digitally. She brings that rare experience of both traditional consumer marketing and performance marketing,” Sephora Americas President and Chief Executive Officer Jean-André Rougeot told WWD.

Rougeot added that Arnold’s appointment is well-timed as the company focuses on sharpening its growth strategy. [Arnold] “stood out for her passion for beauty and our purpose, as well as for her curiosity, digital expertise and collaborative approach,” Rougeot said.

Arnold’s hiring is the latest in a series of C-suite appointments at Sephora. In January, Deborah Yeh, the company’s former marketing chief, transitioned solely to the global chief purpose officer role after holding both positions for over a year. The same month, the company named Guillame Motte as its global president and CEO. And last August, Artemis Patrick, who was overseeing both global and U.S. markets as the company’s executive vice president and global chief merchandising officer, transitioned to a full-time global position.
