Luxury fashion brand Dior has promoted communications chief Olivier Bialobos to deputy managing director.

In his role, Bialobos will be responsible for global communications and image across Christian Dior Couture and Parfums Christian Dior. He will also continue his work as the director of Dior’s homeware division.

During his 17 years long tenure with Dior, he has guided the development of Dior Héritage, an archive of Dior’s previous works that have helped the brand stay true to its heritage and aesthetic and has become the basis of Galerie Dior. He has also helped the brand launch its in-house publication, Dior Magazine, and led the Dior Maison business unit for five years, handling state and royal dinners, as well as collaborations with Philippe Starck.

Dior’s new CEO, Delphine Arnault, said in a statement that she was “delighted to be able to rely on Olivier’s great talent, expertise and commitment to accompany the house of Dior and its development in the coming years.”

His appointment comes as part of a wider leadership reshuffle at LVMH, Dior’s parent company, after Pietro Beccari was named CEO of Louis Vuitton. Arnault was subsequently appointed CEO of Christian Dior Couture, while Charles Delapalme became managing director. In addition, Parfums Christian Dior named Véronique Courtois as the new CEO.

Bialobos’ appointment is indicative of Dior’s focus on expanding its brand image and communications strategies. Bialobos is expected to bring his extensive experience and creative expertise to build on Dior’s brand legacy and luxury reputation while innovating with new campaigns and communication methods.

Bialobos expressed his excitement about his new role and said he is “delighted to be able to help the house of Dior with its development in the years to come.” He also praised Dior’s legacy and brand image, adding that “as one of the world’s most renowned fashion brands, the potential for innovation and growth at Dior is limitless. I am honored to be part of such an esteemed organization, and I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to further enhance the brand’s global reach.”
