Fashion brand Sam Edelman, renowned for its stylish lifestyle merchandise and distinctive shoes, has rolled out a new platform called ReLove.

The initiative, which has been launched in partnership with sustainability-oriented technology platform Archive, will promote the resale of pre-owned Sam Edelman footwear.

“Our brand is committed to crafting durable pieces using premium materials, and we take great pride in that,” said Jesse Edelman, who serves as general manager and senior vice president of Sam Edelman. “Through ReLove, we can further the lifespan of our products and offer our customers an additional option for purchasing our footwear.”

The peer-to-peer platform will enable Sam Edelman’s customers to put their lightly worn shoes for sale on the company’s official webpage, which will give them a greener means of upgrading their closet and prolong the longevity of Sam Edelman’s merchandise.

Customers can handpick the Sam Edelman items they wish to sell and establish a listing by furnishing photographs and a description. Once the item is sold, the seller will be given a prepaid label for shipping the product to the buyers. Sellers can either opt for monetary compensation or Sam Edelman credit as their mode of payment.

Emily Gittins, the co-founder and CEO of Archive, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “We are delighted to collaborate with Sam Edelman and introduce the ReLove initiative to the brand’s customers, which marks their inaugural foray into the resale market. ReLove has been tailored to complement the brand’s ethos and enable cherished Sam Edelman products to enjoy multiple lifetimes.”
