Fanatics, the sports platform, has unveiled a substantial, long-lasting partnership with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), paving the way for the global sale of officially licensed fan merchandise representing U.S. colleges.

“We are excited to announce this latest partnership with CLC, an industry leader in collegiate licensing and marketing, through the talented team at IMG, which will allow sports fans across the U.K. and internationally to showcase their pride and passion for their college of choice,” said Matthew Primack, senior vice president of international business affairs and development at Fanatics.

Starting with an initial selection of 15 U.S. colleges and with plans to expand the offerings gradually, Fanatics will make available an array of official merchandise to customers in the U.K. and beyond. This will encompass lifestyle apparel, durable goods, and accessories.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fanatics will be responsible for the apparel’s production, distribution, and online sales. Additionally, they will make a comprehensive selection of college apparel accessible to retail and media partners, including companies like Next and Sky Sports.

In the past year, Fanatics has been swiftly broadening its reach, forging partnerships in various industry sectors, and acquiring brands that have facilitated its entry into fresh markets, including the likes of Latin America’s Fexpro.

Starting in mid-2024, the company will also have the exclusive rights to manufacture Nike apparel for a specific set of colleges and universities in the U.S., further enhancing its presence in the collegiate product domain.
